RESOLUTION N0.7516 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING TOM KINNEY AS INTERIM POLICE CHIEF <br />WHEREAS, on October 16, 2009, Police Chief Sommer submitted his letter of <br />resignation to the Clerk-Administrator; and <br />WHEREAS, Chief Sommer's last day of employment is October 30, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending that the City Council appoint Deputy Police <br />Chief Tom Kinney to serve as the Interim Police Chief, effective October 31, 2009, until <br />the City Gouncil fills the vacancy; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending that the City Council compensate Deputy <br />Police Chief Kinney at his normal rate of pay plus an additional 10% per Resolution <br />5626. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Tom Kinney to serve as Interim Police Chief. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for this interim period, <br />Tom Kinney will be compensated at his normal rate of pay plus an additional 10% per <br />Resolution 5626. <br />Adopted this 26th day of October, 2009. <br />~~ <br />J,, Fl~kr rty, May <br />~y <br />~,. ~_... <br />ATTEST: <br />k <br />James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br />(seal} <br />
