Public Hearing to Consider the Hidden Hollow Preliminary Plat <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. <br />Community Development Director Ericson reviewed the preliminary plat with Council and the <br />residents in attendance. <br />Council Member Marry asked whether the filling of the wetlands on the Brennan property had <br />been considered with this plat so as not to create future issues with drainage as well as whether <br />there would be access for City equipment to clean out the drainage areas. <br />Director Ericson explained that there are easements in place that allow for access for <br />maintenance. He then said that the development would be containing all water on site. <br />Council Member Marty asked whether a larger catch basin could resolve the issue with the <br />Brennan property. <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that the Engineers have reviewed the plan and feel that the <br />water issues are appropriately handled. <br />Director Ericson indicated that Rice Creek Watershed District would be reviewing the plan to <br />make sure that water is handled appropriately. <br />Gary Nordness addressed Council and indicated that there are only a couple of items remaining <br />on the issues list. He then said that all water will be contained on site. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gurm/Stigney. To Approve the Hidden Hollow Preliminary Plat as <br />Presented. <br />Council Member Quick commented that he would not be voting to approve this request as he <br />does not feel that this is the highest and best use of the property for the benefit of the City. He <br />then said that he feels more taxes could be brought into the City if this were developed correctly. <br />Ayes - 4 <br />Nays - 1(Quick) Motion carried. <br />F. Resolution 6241, a Resolution Changing the Name of the Golf Course to The <br />Bridges of Mounds View <br />• <br />
