Mounds View City Council May 10, 2004 Regular Meeting Page 9 • • ROLL CALL: Linke/Quick/Marty/Stigney/Gunn. Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. E. Public Hearing to Consider the Hidden Hollow Preliminary Plat Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. Community Development Director Ericson reviewed the preliminary plat with Council and the residents in attendance. Council Member Marry asked whether the filling of the wetlands on the Brennan property had been considered with this plat so as not to create future issues with drainage as well as whether there would be access for City equipment to clean out the drainage areas. Director Ericson explained that there are easements in place that allow for access for maintenance. He then said that the development would be containing all water on site. Council Member Marty asked whether a larger catch basin could resolve the issue with the Brennan property. Public Works Director Lee indicated that the Engineers have reviewed the plan and feel that the water issues are appropriately handled. Director Ericson indicated that Rice Creek Watershed District would be reviewing the plan to make sure that water is handled appropriately. Gary Nordness addressed Council and indicated that there are only a couple of items remaining on the issues list. He then said that all water will be contained on site. Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. MOTION/SECOND: Gurm/Stigney. To Approve the Hidden Hollow Preliminary Plat as Presented. Council Member Quick commented that he would not be voting to approve this request as he does not feel that this is the highest and best use of the property for the benefit of the City. He then said that he feels more taxes could be brought into the City if this were developed correctly. Ayes - 4 Nays - 1(Quick) Motion carried. F.
