PROCEEDINGS OF THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 28, 2002 <br />C~ Mounds View City Hall <br />~, I ~'~ 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />7:05 P.M. <br />1. MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER <br />2. ROLL CALL: Mayor Sonterre, Quick (not present), Marty, Stigney, and Thomas. <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />A. Monday, January 28, 2002 City Council Agenda. <br />City Administrator Miller requested that authorization to attend out of state training be added <br />under Council Business as 7F and a report on the status of the press release be added under <br />Council Business as 7G. <br />City Administrator Miller asked that approval of the February 8, 1999 Minutes be removed from <br />the agenda as the Minutes were previously approved. <br />Mayor Sonterre requested that appointments to the Planning Commission and the Police Civil <br />Service Commission be added under Special Orders of Business. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Thomas/Stigney. To Approve the January 28, 2002, City Council Agenda <br />as amended. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />4. PUBLIC INPUT <br />William Werner of 2765 Sherwood Road commented that the Charter Commission had been <br />asked to review whether the Charter requires department heads to provide an in person report to <br />Council once per quarter. He then commented that he felt the provision was added to the Charter <br />during the 1980's as a way to provide for accountability during turbulent times for the City. He <br />then asked when he could expect a response as to the interpretation of the Charter. <br />City Administrator Miller indicated that the matter was on the agenda for the February work <br />session. <br />
