RESOLUTION 7538 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY'S 2009 PAY EQUITY REPORT <br />AND <br />PAY EQUITY SALARY ADJUSTMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pay Equity Act require cities to prepare a pay equity <br />report every three years; and <br />WHEREAS, to be compliant under Minnesota Pay Equity Law, pay equity wage <br />adjustments are required; and <br />WHEREAS, it was the consensus of the City Council to increase wages to female <br />classifications that were considered undercompensated according to the 2008 Salary <br />Compensation Study; and <br />WHEREAS, to be compliant with state law, undercompensated female job <br />classifications, in accordance with the 2008 Salary Compensation Study, will need to <br />receive a 2% increase in pay compensation, effective December 31, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, there are seven (7) female job classifications that meet this criteria, <br />which are listed below: <br />Account Clerk (Part Time) <br />Building Official/Fire Marshal (Full Time) <br />Cable TV Coordinator (Full Time) <br />Economic Development Specialist (Full Time) <br />Planning Associate (Full Time) <br />Police Records/Evidence Technician (Full Time) <br />Receptionist/Recycling Coordinator (Full Time) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />accepts the Pay Equity Report, directs staff to submit it to the Minnesota Department of <br />Employee Relations, and approves a 2% Pay Equity Wage Adjustment for the above seven <br />(7) female job classifications, effective December 31, 2009. <br />Adopted this 14t" day of December, 2009. <br />e Fla a y, ayor <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~ '~~ <br />James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
