RESOLUTION N0.7539 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO <br />SECTION 3.10 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW PERSONNEL MANUAL <br />WHEREAS, Section 3.10 of the Personnel Manual contains a deficiency that causes <br />two holidays to fall on the same day; and, <br />WHEREAS, this same section of the Personnel Manual provides for the undesired <br />possibility of City Hall being closed on Friday, December 23~d; and, <br />WHEREAS, to be consistent with other bargaining groups, a provision outlining <br />when and how Floating Holidays can be used is necessary. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council revises <br />Section 3.10 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows, with new language <br />underlined and deleted language stricken: <br />POLICY: Holida s SECTION: 3.10 <br />All regular full-time, part-time employees averaging 20 or more hours per week, and <br />probationary employees receive the following holidays: <br />1. New Year's Day <br />2. Martin Luther King's Birthday (3rd Monday in January) <br />3. President's Day <br />4. Memorial Day <br />5. Independence Day <br />6. Labor Day <br />7. Veterans' Day <br />8. Thanksgiving Day <br />9. Day after Thanksgiving <br />10. Christmas Eve Day <br />11. Christmas Day <br />12. New Year's Eve Day. <br />If S",-~;i~~m~-~,-"Jev~T~ar~-~a~~; Independence Day or Veteran's Day falls on a <br />Saturday, the preceding Friday will be considered a Holiday. If Independence Day, <br />Veteran's Day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day fall on a Sunday, the following Monday <br />will be considered a holiday. <br />Floating Holidays <br />In vears durina which Christmas Eve. Christmas Dav. New Year's Eve and New Year's Da <br />fall on a Saturday, when Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a Sunday, employees <br />shall be credited with two (2) floating holidavs to be used within 365 days AFTER said <br />holidavs occur. Unused floatina holidavs shall not be included in anv severance <br />computation. <br />
