RESOLUTION N0.7536 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING .THE CONVENTION AND TOURISM BUREAU AGREEMENT <br />WITH MINNESOTA METRO NORTH TOURISM <br />WHEREAS, on April 13, 2009, the Mounds View City Council exercised the opt <br />out clause of its contract with local Convention and Visitor's Bureau (CVB), Visit <br />Minneapolis North, effective December 31, 2009, and; <br />WHEREAS, on August 10, 2009, the Mounds View City Council approved <br />Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws authorizing the establishment of and Mounds <br />View's participation in a new regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau, and; <br />WHEREAS, the working group of area City Managers and Administrators have <br />been coordinating the logistics of forming the new Convention and Visitor's Bureau <br />since early 2009, and; <br />WHEREAS, the working group recently named the new Bureau Minnesota Metro <br />North Tourism, and; <br />WHEREAS, each city will have an agreement with Minnesota Metro North <br />Tourism to formalize its membership within the Bureau. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby approve the attached Convention and Tourism Bureau Agreement with <br />Minnesota Metro North Tourism. <br />Adopted this 14th day of December 2009. <br />e Flahe <br />ATTEST:.. ~ ~~,~ <br />James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
