RESOLUTION 7572 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION REVOKING THE RENTAL DWELLING LICENSE OF TIMOTHY STRAND FOR 2465 HILLVIEW ROAD WHEREAS, Timothy Strand and Kathleen Strand are the owners of a two level 4-unit ren#al dwelling property located at 2055 Hillview Road, legally described as follows: SECTION 5 TOWN 30 RANGE 23 E 208 FT OF S 193 FT OF NE'/4 OF SE 1 IN SEC 5 TN 30 RN 23 PIN # 05-302-341-0019 WHEREAS, on December 4, 2009, City staff issued an abatement order to Timothy Strand regarding code violations located at 2065 Hillview Road; and WHEREAS, on December 7, City staff reinspected the premises at 2065 Hillview Road and determined code violations remained; and WHEREAS, on December 14, 2009, the City Council approved Resolution 7541 requiring the property owner to correct all code violations were corrected by January 13, 2010 or the City would consider the property in violation of City rental housing standards and the City would take action to revoke the rental housing license; and WHEREAS, on December 22, 2009, City staff reinspected 2065 Hillview Road and determined code violations remained; and WHEREAS, January 4, 2010, City staff reinspected 2065 Hillview Road and determined code violations remained; and WHEREAS, on January 12, 2010, City staff reinspected 2065 Hillview Road and determined code violations remained; and WHEREAS, on January 26, 2010, City staff reinspected 2065 Hillview Road and determined code violations remained; and WHEREAS, on January 26, 2010 City staff sent Timothy Strand a letter notifying him that the City Council would consider th.e revocation of his Rental Dwelling License for the rental dwelling at 2065 Hillview Road on February 8, 2010. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The City Council finds that the rental dwelling at 2065 Hillview Road is in violation of Chapter 1005 of the City Code (Housing Maintenance) and Chapter 607 of the City Code (Nuisances}.
