RESOLUTION 7574 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING POSITION DESCRIPTION AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR AN ENGINEERINGIGIS INTERN POSITION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council first approved the Public Works Intern position on <br />May 8, 2006 (Resolution 6807) in an effor# to be#ter serve the citizens of Mounds View, <br />to meet the goals set by the City Council, and to enable the Public Works Department to <br />administer activities associated with public improvement projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the previous Public Works Intern has resigned and the position was <br />vacated on September 4, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has revised the Public Works Intern <br />position description and title from "Engineering Intern" to "Engineering/GIS Intem" to <br />meet the current and future needs required of the position over the next three years; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, rehiring the Public Works Intern will provide the much-needed help <br />for daily public works activities while assisting the Public Works Department to realize <br />long-term goals and objectives. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Gity of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The attached Engineering/GIS Intern position description is hereby approved. <br />2. The Engineering/GIS Intern position is approved for part-time hours (up to 15 hours <br />per week) and full-time hours during summer and holiday breaks {up to 40 hours per <br />week) at an hourly rate of $11.75 per hour without benefrts. <br />3.
