RESOLUTION N0.7533 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Authorization to Approve a Contract for Animal Impoundment Services with the <br />Brighton Veterinary Hospital <br />WHEREAS, The Mounds View Police Department provides animal control <br />services in the city which include the impoundment of stray animals and <br />WHEREAS, A need exists to house these impounded animals in a secure facility <br />that offers proper veterinary care and <br />WHEREAS, Brighton Veterinary Hospital at 2615 Mississippi St in New Brighton is <br />a conveniently located facility that has provided stray animal boarding for the city for over <br />twenty years and <br />WHEREAS, limited alternatives exist that can provide similar services necessary for <br />handling impounded animals <br />WHEREAS, Brighton Veterinary Hospital will charge the city $300 per month, <br />less any collected impoundment and boarding fees from animal owners for the contract <br />period of January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: Approve the contract for animal <br />impoundment services with the Brighton Veterinary Hospital at a cost of $300/month, <br />less collected fees during the period of January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. <br />Adopted this 14th day of December 2009. <br />oe Flaherty, r <br />ATTEST: ~... ~~ C~'~'`t-c.~ ~:'P..t.t~~C~.~_- <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
