RESOLUTION 7614 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR A SEASONAL TEMPORARY PART-TIME <br />BUILDING INSPECTOR <br />WHEREAS, the City Council first approved the temporary building inspector <br />position in 2006 when the Medtronic project started in an effort to better serve the citizens <br />of Mounds View, the contractors working in Mounds View and to meet the goals set by the <br />City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the previous temporary part time building inspector resigned from the <br />position in May 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, the City used an unpaid building inspection intern from June 2009 <br />through April 2010 to assist the City inspection department in meeting the needs of <br />Mounds View residents and the inspection needs of contractors working in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, rehiring the temporary building inspector will provide much-needed <br />help for the daily building inspection needs of the City of Mounds View. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mounds View City Council, Ramsey <br />County, Minnesota ordains as follows: <br />1. The seasonal temporary part time building inspector is approved for part-time hours (up <br />to 16 hours per week) and for full-time hours during summer (up to 40 hours per week) <br />at an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour. <br />2. The City is funding the seasonal temporary building inspector position for up to $7,200 <br />in 2010 with the understanding that the City will be setting the exact work hours for as <br />may be needed. <br />3. The funding for seasonal temporary building inspector position for future years is <br />subject to City Council approval. <br />4.
