Resolution 7599, Approving the 2010-2011 Public Works Collective <br />Bargaining Unit Labor Agreement. <br />City Administrator Ericson advised that the Mounds View Public Works Collective Bargaining <br />Unit approved the 2010-2011 Labor Agreement with terms consistent to those discussed by Staff <br />and the City Council. <br />City Administrator Ericson presented the terms of the revised Agreement as detailed in the staff <br />report and recommended the Council approve Resolution 7599 approving the 2010-2011 Labor <br />Agreement with the Mounds View Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit. <br />Council Member Mueller thanked the Public Warks Department for their assistance in working <br />with the City to reach the proposed labor agreement. She appreciated the fine services provided <br />by the Public Works Department staff to the community. Council Member Gunn agreed. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7599, <br />Approving the 2010-2011 Labor Agreement with the Mounds View Public Works Collective <br />Bargaining Unit. <br />Council Member Gunn thanked the Public Works Department for working with the City to reach <br />this agreement in a timely manner. <br />Mayor Flaherty echoed these comments explaining the Public Works Department kept the City's <br />best interests in mind when negotiating and approving the proposed agreement. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />C. Resolution 7593, Awarding a Construction Contract for the 2010 Well No. 1 <br />& 2 Rehabilitation Project. <br />Public Works Director DeBar described the City's maintenance and rehabilitation program for <br />the City's wells, pumps and motors. He said that the City was on a seven-year cycle for well <br />rehabilitation work. <br />Public Works Director DeBar presented the five quotes received from well contractors, which <br />ranged from $79,015 to $99,350 with the low quote submitted by Keys Well Drilling Company <br />of St. Paul, Minnesota. He advised that Keys performed the last rehabilitation on these same <br />wells in March of 2003 and are very familiar with the City's well configurations. If approved, <br />construction will begin in early April of 2010. He noted that the contractor should complete the <br />work on Well No. 1 by May 28th. Well No. 2 would be completed after the motor was replaced. <br />• Public Works Director DeBar presented staff's recommendation for the City Council to adopt <br />Resolution 7593 to award the construction contract to Keys Well Drilling Company of St. Paul, <br />
