Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 843, an Ordinance Amending <br />Chapters 502 and 503 of the Municipal Code about Liquor Licenses. <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson stated that staff has been working with the City Attorney for the last <br />few months reviewing Chapters 502 and 503 of the City Code relating to liquor licenses in an <br />effort to make necessary updates, eliminate confusing or inconsistent provisions and to <br />incorporate new legislation. The proposed Ordinance is a comprehensive rewrite of the chapters <br />in question and would bring the Ordinance into compliance with present statutes. <br />Council Member Mueller asked if there was an additional fee for outdoor consumption licenses. <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson indicated there was no additional fee at this time. <br />Council Member Mueller questioned if the Proof of Financial Responsibility amounts were set <br />by State Statute. Clerk-Administrator Ericson stated he wasn't certain if amounts were set by <br />statute but were approved by the attorneys. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 844, an Ordinance Amending <br />the Mounds View Municipal Code by Changing all References of "Clerk- <br />Administrator" to "City Administrator". <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson stated that in 2009, the Charter Commission was asked to consider <br />amending the Charter to update the title of the Clerk-Administrator position to a more commonly <br />used title, such as City Administrator. On March 8, 2010, the City Council adopted Ordinance <br />841 which revised the City Charter by replacing all instances of "Clerk-Administrator" with <br />"City Administrator." At that meeting, staff communicated to the City Council that a second <br />ordinance would be needed to effectuate the same change throughout the municipal code. <br />Ordinance 844 accomplishes this comprehensive amendment. <br />• <br />u <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
