Resolution 7017 Purchase of Replacement Investigator Police Car <br />Council Member Mueller would like Chief Sommer to be able to review his report with Council <br />and residents so that residents are aware of how frugal the Police Department is being. <br />Chief Sommer indicated that their two investigators share a car so that is a frugal use of vehicles. <br />He then said that the vehicle is 10 years old, and needs to be replaced with a Chevrolet Impala <br />through the state bid process. He further explained that the vehicle is incurring high <br />maintenance costs at this point, and it is time to replace it. <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that she would like to know if the current police equipment <br />would be moved to the Impala. <br />Chief Sommer indicated that the current equipment is 10 years old with the exception of the <br />radio that will be moved to the new vehicle, and the other equipment has been budgeted for <br />replacement. <br />• Council Member Flaherty asked how many off cers the City has. <br />
