Mounds View City Council March 12, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />• Ms. Crane explained that Mounds View Bowling, Inc., has submitted the City liquor license <br />application materials (to include the application to stay open until 2am per Ordinance 717), and <br />the applicable fees. The notice of this public hearing was sent out to residences within a 350 foot <br />radius, and the Notice of Public Hearing was published in the Mounds View/New Bri hg ton <br />Bulletin. Staff recominends approval pending the payment of the utility bill and a satisfactory <br />report from the Minnesota Department of Criminal Apprehension. The establishment will have <br />another fire inspection when the building ownership is finalized. <br />Hearing no public comment, Mayor Mariy closed the public hearing. <br />Council Member Flaherty asked if there were any other items for consideration before approval <br />not listed by Staff. <br />Ms. Crane explained that approval will not be issued until the items listed as contingencies are <br />provided. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7021, <br />Authorizing a Transfer of an on Sale Intoxicating Liquor License from Moundsvista, Inc., d!b/a <br />The Mermaid, to Mounds View Bowling, Inc., d/b/a Mermaid Lanes, located at 2200 County <br />Highway 10. <br />~ Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />B. Resolution 7030, Authorizing the Exterior Property Abatement at 2263 <br />County Road H2 <br />Housing Inspector Anderson provided an overview of the exterior code issues at 2263 County <br />Road H2. <br />Staff explained that on February 23, 2006 and in April of 2005 they were notified for the exact <br />same issue but they have not been able to take care of the cleanup this time. <br />Council Member Mueller asked how long this would take and what the estimate of costs would <br />be. <br />Mr. Anderson explained that the City has a contract with a towing company to handle the <br />vehicles on the property and provided an estimate of the number of yards of debris to be <br />removed. <br />Council Member Stigney asked if everything is in line legally so that the City does not get sued. <br />Mr. Anderson explained that, based upon the recommendation of the City Attorney, Staff feels <br />• that the legal requirements are being met. <br />Council Member Flaherty asked whether the property owner is aware of what is going on. <br />
