Mounds View City Council Apri19, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Ordinance 787 • <br />Approving an Amendment to Chapter 1102 of the Mounds View Zoning Code to Define Health <br />and Beauty Services. <br />Mayor Marty noted that the reason for this was that the aromatherapy license being applied for <br />was not defined by Code. He then said that he finds no grounds to deny this but, he is not <br />entirely comfortable with it. <br />ROLL CALL: Stigney/Marty/Mueller/Flaherty/Hull <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />C. Public Hearing to Consider the Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance <br />788, an Amendment to the Mounds View Zoning Code: Amend Chapter 1102 <br />to Define a Neighborhood Motor Fuel Station and Amend Chapter 1113 to <br />Allow a Neighborhood Motor Fnel Station as a Conditional Use in a B2 <br />District <br />Planner Heller provided an overview of the proposed amendment to the Zoning Code to define a <br />neighborhood motor fuel station. She then said that the Planning Commission was concerned <br />about changing the Comprehensive P1an for the location so the recommendation was to ask Staff <br />to make this work for The Station without requiring a zoning and comp plan change. <br />Planner Heller noted that the Planning Commission recommends a roval of the ro osed Code • <br />pp P P <br />amendment. <br />Mayor Marty opened the public hearing. <br />Hearing no public comments, Mayor Marty closed the pubiic hearing. <br />Council Member Mueller asked what would happen with the Conditional Use Permit if the <br />owners wished to sell the station. <br />Planner Heller indicated that it would go with the property. <br />Council Member Mueller asked when The Station was originally established. <br />Planner Heller said it has been there for approximately 48 years. <br />Council Member Mueller asked if there is supposed to be some kind of space between the <br />property lines. <br />Director Ericson responded that the adjoining Fedor Market building is non-conforming as it was <br />constructed up to the property line • <br />
