Director Lee indicated that the triple insulating would require the use of less propane. Council Member Mueller asked if the City still needs to go doum to pick up the asphalt or if this would give the City the ability to heat it up. Director Lee indicated that they should not have anything to heat up here as it maintains heat and it can all be used up. He then said that one person goes down and picks up the product and the rest of the crew meets them at the job site. MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaheriy. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7067, Approving the Purchase of a Spaulding RMV Hot Patcher/Asphalt Recycler Unit. Council Member Flaherty thanked Staff for the information in the report. He then said that he was not aware of the waste of asphalt since it was cooling down and could not be used. Council Member Stigney asked how the asphalt will be compacted. Resolution 7054, Approving the Purchase of a Frost Breaker Public Works Director Lee explained that there are between six and twelve watermain breaks per year and they usually occur during the winter months. This requires breaking through the frost to get to the watermain break. This piece of equipment would be attached to a piece of equipment to break through the frost and allow for repair of the watermain. MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. Resolution 7066, Approving the Purchase of a Replacement Trim Mower for the Parks Division Public Works Director Lee explained that the City does have a trim mower that is approximately six years old but the City mechanic has looked at it and recommends replacement as the mower deck is warped and there are issues with the PTO driveshaft and other items to be replaced. Staff • recommends replacement of the mower based on the recommendations of the mechanic.
