Mounds View City Council May 14, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 15 <br />• <br />C. Resolution 7084 Approving a Restaurant License for Totino's Italian <br />Kitchen Located at 2535 County Highway 10 <br />Council Member Stigney asked that the word license be added to the Resolution for clarity. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Approve Resolution 7084, Approving a Restaurant <br />License for Totino's Italian Kitchen Located at 2535 County Highway 10 as Amended. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />K. Resolution 7081, Authorizing Staff to Purchase Broadband Service <br />for the Community Center Banquet Facility and Lobby Area <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether this is really necessary. <br />Finance Director Beer explained that this would be for the banquet center as the YMCA is on the <br />City's network. <br />Council Member Stigney asked how much use of the banquet center can be expected by having <br />high speed internet at the banquet center. <br />• Finance Director Beer indicated that in order to pursue daytime business for training and business <br />meetings internet access is required. <br />Council Member Stigney would like to have a hardwired internet access for the Community <br />Center and not wi-fi. <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that there is a resident who has rooms reserved for classroom <br />instruction for the families of the children she teaches and, having this access, would allow <br />families to bring in laptops and do some training in the classroom setting. <br />Finance Director Beer indicated that the Chamber of Commerce has agreed to share in the costs <br />for this service with the City and he has talked to the day care and they may be interested as well. <br />Council Member Flaherty said that they are missing the business community for training classes <br />and this is necessary to bring them in. <br />Mayor Marty would like to see if the daycare facility would like to cost share as well. <br />Finance Director Beer explained that the $200 per node is a one time charge. <br />~ MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7081, <br />Authorizing Staff to Purchase Broadband Service for the Community Center Banquet Facility <br />and Lobby Area. <br />
