Mounds View City Council June 11, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br />Mayor Marty said that the Certificate of Liability Insurance was received but, the City approved • <br />the initial license, without the Certificate. <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane indicated that the City had it for the last renewal. <br />Council Member Flaherty said that there was a failure of a compliance check and asked if the <br />establishment will be monitored to ensure compliance. <br />Chief Sommer indicated that the waitress sold alcohol to the person even though the underage <br />license was presented. He then said that the person was charged with a crime with the potential <br />of a$3,000 fine for selling to an underage person so that sends a clear message. <br />Council Member Mueller asked how long this business has had a license. <br />Assistant ta the Administrator Crane indicated that they have had a license for two years. <br />Mayor Marty would like the consequences of another failed compliance check relayed to the <br />license holder. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Ma.rty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7095, a <br />Resolution to Consider an On Sale Wine and 3.2 Malt Liquor License Renewal for Taiko Sushi <br />Located at 2394 County Highway 10. <br />Council Member Flaherty would like this to come back to Council for consideration of . <br />revocation or suspension if there is another failed compliance check. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />E. Public Hearing, Resolution 7096, Resolution to Consider an On Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License Renewal for Robert's Sports Bar and <br />Entertainment Located at 2400 County Road H2 <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane requested Council consideration of renewal of the liquor <br />license for Robert's Sports Bar and Entertainment. Roberts does have an outstanding utility bill <br />at this time. <br />Mayor Marty opened the public hearing at 8:44 p.m. <br />Hearing no public comments, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing at 8:44 p.m. <br />Council Member Flaherty said that the last time this license came forward there were some <br />issues with noise and he is happy to report that those items have been resolved and he has not <br />heard any noise complaints out of Roberts since then. <br />• <br />
