MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />3. ROLL CALL: Stigney, Hull, Mueller, Flaherly, and Marty <br />NOT PRESENT: None. <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />• A. Monday, September 24, 2007 City Council Agenda <br />Interim Administrator Ericson noted that an item was added to the Agenda as 7G, Resolution <br />7165, Authorizing a One Day Gambling Permit for Friends of St. Paul Baseball. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flal~erty. To Approve the Monday, September 24, 2007 City <br />Council Agenda as Amended. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Bruce Nustad from the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce addressed Council and said <br />that the Chamber feels that enhancing the economic tax base of the City is very important to the <br />City. Mr. Newstad said that the Chamber would like to urge the Council to make hiring a new <br />Economic Development Specialist a priority to ensure that economic growth continues to be a <br />priority for the City. Mr. Nustad asked the Council to fill the City Administrator position as <br />quickly and with as little cost as possible and with an internal candidate if at all possible. He <br />then said that he would urge the City to fill the remaining two positions as quickly as possible to <br />ensure that the City continues to grow in economic development. <br />Mr. Nustad provided his comments in writing to the Council for review. <br />• <br />
