Mounds View City Council September 24, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />Ms. Landcra.in said that she is concerned that there has been a lack of detail with the project, and • <br />she wonders if they are expanding to the north because she thought that Centerpointe services the <br />communities to the north. <br />Chris Johnson of 8200 Long Lake Road asked whether a condition would be to acquire easement <br />along Sherwood Road. <br />Council Member Flaherty suggested looking into a sniffer in that location rather than the more <br />expensive automatic valve. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Continued Public Hearing, Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 799, <br />an Ordinance Approving an Amendment to Chapter 12 of the Mounds View <br />City Charter <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane noted that this would allow the City to designate a primary <br />and secondary newspaper for publication. <br />Opened the public hearing at 8:22p.m. <br />Hearing no public comment, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing at 8:22 p.m. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Ordinance 799, an • <br />Ordinance Approving an Amendment to Chapter 12 of the Mounds View City Charter. <br />ROLL CALL: Stigney/Flaherty/Hull/Mueller/Marty <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Council Member Stigney requested that Ordinance 799 be read. <br />Interim Administrator Ericson read Ordinance 799. <br />B. Resolution 7158, A Resolution Establishing the Process for Determiniag the <br />Sufficiency of Petitions Pursuant to City Charter <br />Interim Administrator Ericson reviewed the Resolution outlining the process for determining the <br />sufficiency of petitions pursuant to the Charter. <br />Interim Administrator Ericson read the criteria indicating those criteria are that the number of <br />signatures must match, the signatures must be original and not photocopied, required information <br />required by sponsoring members must be listed, and at least 80% must be legitimate on their face <br />or upon validation. • <br />
