RESOLUTION 7644 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING BOLTON & MENK TO PERFORM ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR <br />THE MUNICIPAL WELL NO. 2 MOTOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the motor for Municipal Well No. 2 is in need of replacement and is <br />included in the Capital Improvement Project and adopted 2010 Budget (700-4823- <br />7050); and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has consulted Bolton & Menk on several well issues and <br />are familiar with their history and abilities; and <br />WHEREAS, in cooperation with City staff, Bolton & Menk prepared a letter <br />proposal dated Apri! 27, 2010 for engineering services associated with the motor <br />replacement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The letter proposal dated April 27, 2Q10 submitted by Bolton & Menk fio provide <br />engineering services for the Municipal Well No. 2 Motor Replacement Project is <br />accepted by the City. Compensation as outlined in the letter proposal will be on a <br />lump sum basis for $20,000. <br />2. The Public Works Director is directed to draft an Owner-Engineer Agreement with <br />Bolton & Menk to provide said engineering services. <br />3. The City Attorney is authorized to review the Owner-Engineer Agreement. <br />4. Upon satisfactory review by the City Attorney, the Mayor and City Administrator are <br />hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to execute and enter <br />into the Owner-Engineer Agreement. <br />Adopted this 12th day of July, 2010. <br />Jo Flah , or <br />ATTEST: <br />~ <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
