RESOLUTION NO. 7657 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEW CONTRACT FOR SECTION 8 HOUSING <br />INSPECTIONS FOR THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council is authorized by Minnesota Statutes (Minn. <br />Stat. 473.195) to function as a housing and redevelopment authority for the seven county <br />metropolitan area (including Mounds View); and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has the federal contract authority to operate <br />the federal Section 8 housing assistance program in the seven-county metropolitan area <br />(including Mounds View); and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has had a contract with the City of Mounds <br />View since 1988 to perForm the Section 8 housing inspection and reinspection services in <br />Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council wants to enter into a new contract with the <br />City of Mounds View to perform the Section 8 housing inspection and reinspection <br />services in Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the proposed housing inspection contract from <br />the Metropolitan Council and finds it acceptable to the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the contract with the Metropolitan Council for Section 8 Housing inspection and <br />reinspection services in the City of Mounds View for the time period of September 1, 2010 <br />through August 31, 2015. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council authorizes the Mayor and the City Administrator to sign and execute the <br />referenced contract with the Metropolitan Council for Section 8 Housing inspection and <br />reinspection services in the City of Mounds View. <br />Adopted this 9th day of August, 2010 <br />rty <br />Attest: <br />~~ r~1-c,d ~??.~.t,4~(~- <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
