RESOLUTION 7653 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING PURCHASE OF PORTABLE ZOOM POLE CAMERA FOR SEWER SYSTEM <br />INSPECTIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City has a preventative maintenance program to inspect sanitary <br />sewer and stormwater system infrastructure, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City performs sewer inspections as part of the Street and Utility <br />Improvement Projects for determining sewer system repairs and improvements to be <br />included as part of the projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to inspect the <br />sanitary sewer and stormwater infrastructure in safe and efficient manner in order to make <br />recommendations for repairs and/or replacement to extend service life; and <br />WHEREAS, the City solicited and received two quotes ranging from $16,349.74 to <br />$18,667,86 by qualified vendors to provide the portable zoom pole camera; and <br />WHEREAS, Flexible Pipe Tool Company of St. Joseph, Minnesota submitted the <br />lowest quote in the amount of $16,349,74; and <br />WHEREAS, monies are available in the capital equipment accounts under the <br />Sanitary Sewer (730-4823-7030) and Stormwater (245-4417-7030) enterprise funds to <br />purchase the portable zoom pole camera. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby accepts the quote proposal of $16,349.74 submitted by Flexible <br />Pipe Tool Company of St. Joseph, Minnesota for one Aries Zoom Pole Camera <br />(HC3000) including associated equipment. <br />2. Public Works staff are authorized to purchase the Aries zoom pole camera from <br />Flexible Pipe Tool Company for $16,349.74 on behalf of the City of Mounds View. <br />3.
