RESOLUTION 7675 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING NON-STANDARD STREET DESIGN FOR <br />PINEWOOD COURT RECONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 7176 on October 22, 2007 <br />establishing the Street and Utility Improvement Program (Program), which includes nine <br />Street and Utility Improvement Projects identified as Areas A through I; and <br />WHEREAS, a Streets and Utilities Committee was established through Resolution <br />7223 on February 11, 2008 to oversee the implementation of the Street and Utility <br />Improvement Program, including providing recommendations to the City Council on design <br />or financing issues encountered during the Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 7643 on July 12, 2010 authorizing <br />Bonestroo to perform engineering services for the design phase for Area D of the Program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Bonestroo and City staff developed design considerations for non- <br />standard streets and specific needs in Area D of the Program and reviewed these <br />considerations with the Streets and Utilities Committee at their August 16, 2010 meeting; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Pinewood Court is a non-standard street in Area D of the Program and <br />City staff and the Streets and Utilities Committee solicited adjacent property owner <br />feedback on three different considerations for its reconstruction, which was presented and <br />discussed at the September 20, 2010 Committee meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, four of the five adjacent property owners prefer a cul-de-sac option to <br />the other two U-shaped options; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff and the Street and Utilities Committee unanimously <br />recommend that Pinewood Court be reconstructed to a cul-de-sac design configuration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1.
