At a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, <br />duly held on the 18th day August, 1959, the following roRn1 1- i nn w,75 offered by <br />Gibson seconded by Sullivan to -wit: <br />WHEREAS, the very urgent need of a hospital to serve our people his heon <br />evident to our council, and <br />WHEREAS, p reuant to a recognition of this need, a study with other communities <br />as to possible solutions has been undertaken, and <br />WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Cities of Columbia Heights, Fridley <br />and Coon Rapids, together with the Villages of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Lexington <br />and Circle Pines join together in an effort to fill this need tf a hospital to <br />serve our needs, and <br />WHEREAS, this will require some initial financing and a representative of our <br />community, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the council hereby arpoints James Einne to <br />represent them in this joint effort and hereby authorizes and directs the payment of <br />up to $500.00 to be used for such study, survey and development of hospital needs <br />and such basic organizational expenses as are needed and tLat these funds are to be dispersed <br />at the direction of committee, and further be it resolved that committee shall report <br />back to this council as soon as practical and from time to time as to the progress <br />and velopment of this study. <br />Upon the call of the roll the following members voted in favor of the resolution: <br />Gibson, Smith, Hodges and Sullivan. <br />The following members voted against its adoption: Christensen. <br />whereupon the Mayor dechred the resolution adopted. <br />Dated this 18th day of August, 1959. <br />ATTEST: <br />art <br />HE OLUPIOI:' 25 <br />Mayor, James W.
