EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a wuL,. <br />meetin j <br />of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View, Minnesota, was <br />held at the <br />Red Oak Sc'i9Ql in the Village of Mounds <br />on Mo.Auy <br />P.M., with the following members present: <br />Crane, Hodges, Malvin, Cjiristense_ and Smith. <br />and the following members absent: <br />Mounds View, Minnesota, as follows: <br />MLtrc.. <br />None <br />Ili, 1960, a L o' clod: <br />The Clerk presented affidavits of posting and publication <br />of the notice of sperm al election held on December 8, 1959, on the <br />proposition of constructing a waterworks system and the official returns <br />of the judges were duly examined, approved and ordered placed on file <br />in the office of the Clerk. <br />Member Smith introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL <br />ELECTION AND DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF. <br />BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of <br />That it is hereby found, determined and declared that a <br />special election held on December 8, 1959, to vote on the <br />following question was in all respects duly and legally held and that <br />the judges' returns have been duly examined as required by law, said <br />vote being as follows: <br />"Shall the Village of Mounds View construct, own and <br />operate a waterworks plant as a public utility to supply <br />its own needs and the needs of private consumers for <br />utility service, the estimated cost of said utility being <br />$250,000, exclusive of costs to be paid by special assess- <br />ments against specially benefited property <br />Votes YES 667 <br />Votes NO 634 <br />Spoiled or Blank Votes 2 <br />TOTAL VOTES 1,303 <br />
