and <br />RESOLUTIOM1C6 16 <br />VILLLAGE OFMOWWS VIEW <br />W <br />VN vP RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION OPP0SING THE EXPANSION OF THE ANOKA COUNTY AIRPORT. <br />The Village Council of the Village of Mounds View at its regular <br />meeting held at the Village Hall on the 13th day of February 1961 at <br />8:00 o'clock p.m. approved unanimously the following resolution. <br />Moved by Councilman Christensen and seconded by Councilman Hodges as <br />follows: <br />WHEREAS it has come to the attention of the residents of thia village anr° <br />of the members of the Village Council that the Metropolitan Airports <br />Commission intends to expand the facilities of the Anoka County Airport, <br />WHEREAS, said facilities would be expanded to facilitate the handling of <br />large commercial aircraft, and <br />WHEREAS, it is felt by the residents and Village Council of this <br />Village that such expansion would create a dangerous situation to the <br />occupants of the village, and would be in fact a nuisance to the residents, <br />and would in no way benefit the properties of the village, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the Village Council stands unanimously <br />opposed to the expansion of the Anoka County Airport on the grounds that it <br />would create a dangerous situation, would in fact be a nuisance, and in no <br />way benefit the occupants and properties of the village and <br />BE IT RESOLVED That the Metropolitan Airports Commission cease and desi =t <br />from the expansion of said airport aad instead seek new sites away from <br />populated areas for its proposal. <br />1 <br />Fffi Jerome Blanchard <br />Village Clerk <br />Village of Mounds View <br />
