The Mayor then announced that the meeting would be recessed until <br />8 :00 o'clock P.M. October 4, 1965 at the Village Hall. The meeting was reconvened <br />on October 4, 1965 at the Mounds View Village Hall. Member Malvin then introduced <br />the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />seconded by member Blanchard <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR SANITARY SEWER <br />IMPROVEMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, following the recess of the meeting held on September 28, <br />1965, the Council as a whole has viewed all of the properties where objections were <br />raised verbally or in writing. All objections were reviewed by the Village staff <br />and Council members, mathematical corrections were made, on other objections relative <br />to the area formula and front foot computations were considered. <br />The amendments resulting from such considerations have now been <br />recorded on the assessment roll which is identified as Mounds View Hearing List, <br />Sanitary Sewer No. 47, September 20, 1965, Copy No. 3. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village <br />of Mounds View, Minnesota as follows: <br />(1) The special assessments as amended for Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br />are hereby adopted, and it is hereby found and determined that each lot, piece and parcel <br />of property so assessed is benefited in the amounts of the respective assessments levied <br />against it. <br />(2) Said assessments may be paid in cash, without interest, if paid <br />within thirty (30) days from the date hereof, or may be paid in thirty (30) equal, <br />annual installments in the same time and manner as the payment of real estate taxes <br />with interest at the rate of six per cent (6 per annum from the date hereof to <br />December 31 of the year in which the first payment is payable to be added to the first <br />installment, and one year's interest on the remaining balance to be added to each <br />subsequent installment; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, That any property owner may pay the entire <br />unpaid balance of the assessment against his property at any time with interest to <br />December 31 of the year in which said payment is made. <br />(3) The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy <br />of the assessments and a copy of this resolution to the County Auditor of Ramsey County <br />to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County for collection with other real <br />estate taxes in and for the Village. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />and upon a vote being taken, the following members <br />voted in favor thereof: Malvin, Blanchard, Rusted and LaVaque (Mayor Hodges not present <br />at the reconvened meeting held on October 4, 1965) <br />
