rTh <br />RESOLUTION ,z.3-1 <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION TO THE LEGISLATURE, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />REGARDING REAPPORTIONMENT AND THE VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW. <br />At a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds <br />View, held on the 25th day of April, 1966 at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., at its Village <br />Hall located at 2401 Highway 10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112 the following <br />resolution was proposed by Member u,.pj o.o n and seconded by Member <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View is a community of some 7,000 <br />people lying within the boundaries of the County of Ramsey and comprising a part <br />of the 43rd District North, and <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the residents of said village <br />and the Village Council that one of the proposed plans being submitted to the <br />legislature at its special reapportionment session calls for the removal of the <br />tillage from its present district and would include said Village in a new district <br />comprised of the Village of Spring Lake Park, and City of Fridley, both which lie <br />within Anoka County, and would include the Village of St. Anthony, that lies mainly <br />within Hennepin County, and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View under the proposed plan appears <br />to be the only Ramsey County village that would not lie within a Ramsey County <br />legislative district, and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mounds View lies within Independent School <br />District 621 which lies entirely within the County of Ramsey, and <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View's main legislative interests lie with its Ramsey <br />County neighbors, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Villaste <br />of Mounds View that the Village of Mounds View request the Minnesota Legislature <br />
