Rusted, Mayor <br />Robert Walset, Clerk <br />Gary Lang, Trustee <br />Richard Johnson, Trustee <br />Perry Malvin, Trustee <br />Sheldon Boehm, Engineer <br />Richard Meyers, Attorney <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 27, 1967, at the ""llage Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55112. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Lang) To approve the minutes of the regular meeting of February 13, <br />1967. (Johnson abstained) 3 Ayes <br />COMMENTS FROM RESIDENTS: Mr. Colby questioned whether the Council intends to ask <br />for a stop sign at "H" and Highway #10. Mayor Rusted replied by reading a <br />letter requesting such a light, from Police Chief Ernie Grabowski to the <br />county and dated previous to the recent accident. Mayor Rustad also read <br />the reply which was generally negative, but indicated they would continue to <br />study the problem. The reguest will be re- submitted. <br />Mr. Ehlers protested truck and foot traffic by work crews through his back <br />yard. The Engineer advised that damages would be paid. <br />Mayor Rustad discussed the street lighting problem. Rates on present lights will <br />increase from $40.00 to $49.20 for 6,000 lumen units. New Mercury Vapor units <br />are available at $45.00 for 7,000 lumen units. A study of lighting locations will <br />be condu ted within the next 60 days. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Johnson) To sign the N.S.P. contract to install new Mercury Vapor <br />lights throughout Mounds View (per Resolution 4)285). 4 Ayes <br />Mayor Rusted commented on our police efficiency in relation to the recent arrest <br />of two youths in a stolen car. 28 thefts were cleared up. <br />M /S /P (Walser /Rusted) To approve payment of check numbers 804, 828 through 849 and <br />3071 through 3085 as listed. 4 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Walser /Lang) To approve the general contractor license for Myrm Brothers. <br />4 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To approve the purchase of a Card File for water billings <br />for not more than $85.00. 4 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Walser /Rustad) To approve the use of the hall for youth activities dances <br />on March 3.and March 17 with clean -up after and with supervision provided. <br />4 Ayes <br />
