RESOLUTION NO. 426 <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />At a regular meeting of the Village Council held <br />on the 9th day of December 1968, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., at 2401 Highway <br />10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112, with the following members present: <br />Rustad, Lang and Malvin, and the following members absent: Johnson <br />Member Lang moved the following resolution: <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING METROPOLITAN <br />ZOO PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, the Zoo Advisory Committee to the Metropolitan <br />Council has made proposals for a new major metropolitan zoo, and <br />WHEREAS, these proposals will greatly benefit the <br />people of our area by providing a facility for the study and preservation <br />of animal species, as well as a place for family- centered recreation,and <br />WHEREAS, this facility would be largely self <br />supporting, with minimal financial cost to the public, and <br />WHEREAS, the zoo would be of benefit to area <br />citizens and businesses and a major attraction for tourists, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of <br />the Village of Mounds View goes on record in support of this project <br />and urges the State Legislature to implement these plans in the <br />coming legislative session. <br />The motion for the adoption of the above resolution <br />was duly seconded by Member Rustad, and upon a vote being taken thereon <br />the following members voted in favor thereof: Lang, Rustad and Malvin <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />n y/ <br />Mayor <br />1/19/14f4 _J <br />Vi lage Clerk <br />jL <br />
