SECTION 4. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1000, <br /> Chapter 1008 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Signs" by deleting the <br /> stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows: <br /> 1008.09: GENERAL LOCATION, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS: <br /> (Ord. 679, 5- 29 -01) <br /> Subd. 2. Temporary Signs: All temporary signs shall comply with the provisions of this Section and <br /> with this Chapter. The following general and specific standards shall be observed for all types <br /> of temporary and portable signs: (Ord. 679, 5- 29 -01; Ord. 816, 1- 22 -09) <br /> a. General Provisions: <br /> (1) Except as provided herein, no temporary sign shall be located on any property in <br /> the City without first obtaining a permit from the City. If the City determines to approve a <br /> permit for any such temporary sign it may impose conditions upon the granting thereof, and it <br /> shall be unlawful to locate or maintain any such sign for a longer period or in a different <br /> manner than that specified in the permit. No permit for a temporary sign shall be issued if <br /> prohibited by other provisions of this Code. (Ord. 679, 5- 29 -01) <br /> (2) Temporary signs shall not be hung or installed to cover, either partially or <br /> completely, any door, window or opening required for ventilation.
