RESOLUTION 7714 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING DIRECT MAILING OF MOUND VIEW MATTERS <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council approved Ordinance 800 (Chapter 12 of the City <br /> Charter Section 12.13) on January 14, 2008; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance 800 states that "A newsletter shall be published by the <br /> City at regular intervals at least four (4) times each year. The City of Mounds View may <br /> use several delivery methods if necessary to deliver the newsletter to at least each non- <br /> commercial postal delivery address within the City of Mounds View and <br /> WHEREAS, Since 1998, the City of Mounds View's newsletter delivery method <br /> has been provided by Independent Delivery Service; and <br /> WHEREAS, Per Federal Law, Independent Delivery Service is not allowed to <br /> place the City newsletter in resident or business mailboxes; and <br /> WHEREAS, Direct mailing the City newsletter through the United State Postal <br /> Service would ensure that each postal address in the City of Mounds View receives a <br /> copy of the city newsletter. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mounds View City Council, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby approve the direct mailing of the City <br /> newsletter, Mounds View Matters, starting with the Spring 2011 edition. <br /> Adopted this 13th day of December, 20 0. <br /> Jo Fla or <br /> ATTEST: <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
