10 <br />July 1, 1958 <br />The regular monthly meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds <br />View was held July 1, 1958 at the Mounds View Village Hall, 1450 W. Highway 96. <br />The following members we;e present: <br />Mayor: James W. Gibson <br />Clerk: Martha Irvine <br />Trustees: John L. Sullivan <br />Reuben G. Achterkirch <br />and the following were also present: Ingram C. Rustad <br />Deputy Clerk: Mary Jean Nflbrandt <br />Legal Counsel: Richard Meyers <br />Engineer: Otto Bonestroo <br />Treasurer: Irene Edberg <br />The meeting was opened at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor, James W. Gibson. <br />The hearing for the improvement on Edgewood Drive was held at 7:30. <br />Questions in regard to assessments were asked. The parties interested <br />were informed that a special assessment meeting would be held at a <br />later date. <br />The bids for the improvement on Edgewood Drive were closed at 8:01 P.M. <br />The only bid received was from Ray Sina. Bid given to Engineer Bonestroo <br />for checking. <br />Mr. Jorgenson and Mr Videen appeared regarding rezoning of Lot 16, Block <br />5, Pinewood Terrace #2. The Council recommended that the Planning Committee <br />give this rezoning first consideration. <br />Sam Daiberg requeeted'permission to build on an 83' lot. Informed that <br />he should get a petition signed by all the people on both sides of Eastwood <br />from Sherwood to'Hillview and resent it to the`Council. <br />Clerk, Martha Irvine recommended that Mary Jean Milbrandt be appointed <br />Deputy Clerk at $50.00 a week. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Rustad, seconded by Sullivan to accept minutes of June 24, 1958 <br />as read. <br />Trustee, Ingram C. Rustad, recommended that Richard Meyers be appointed as <br />Village Attorney with a retainer fee of $125.00 per month and $25.00 per <br />meeting in excess of 1 meeting per month. <br />Appointments of Building Inspector and Electrical Inspector <br />deferred to July 15. <br />Mayor, James W. Gibson recommended that Wm. VanElsberg be appointed <br />Weed Inspector. 5 ayes. <br />Appointment of Plumbing Inspector was deferred to July 15. <br />were <br />
