Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Sullivan to repair Redoak Drive near Wooderest. <br />Gerald Blanski, 2511 Fillmore'Ave. N.E. inquired about property which he wants to <br />which would have more than 100'- fiontuge but less than I2g' deep. Told that as long <br />as he had the correct square footage it was all right to proceed. <br />Mayor; Gibson, Trustees Sullivan and Rusted and <br />Park Playground to discuss Lakeside Beach. <br />to mee <br />the Recreation Committee <br />Appointment_ of Plumbing Inspector tabled until next meeting. <br />Heating Inspector requested that home owners have a licensed contractor make gas <br />conversions. Council agreed that home o ers could install their own furnaces but that <br />they should be connected by a licensed installer <br />Police Commission recommended appointment of Robertus as Sergeant. They A7so <br />the recommendation that 'Ernest Grabowski be employed as an additional to work <br />approximately 50 hours per month, with a starting salary of 350.00 per month. Officer <br />Slifer's salary to be 3125.00 per month. Motion by Irvine, seconded by Sullivan to <br />concur with the Police Commission's recommendation. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Rusted to aflow Civil Defense to spend *100.00 f <br />a uniform for the new member, gc the parkas out of storage and a vehicle if possible <br />Clerk read a letter from Superintendent Reeder thanking the Civil Defense for the <br />help they gave at the time of the open house and dedication of Edgewood Junior High Schoo <br />The following names were presented by the Mayor for judges at the r;ovember 4th <br />election: Mrs. Alice Frits, Mrs. Phyllis Blanchard, firs. Ivet'Maaberg, Mrs. Isabella <br />Wi11e, Mrs. Grace Aleckson,'Mrs. Iva Patron, Mrs. Ada Sopkowiak, Mrs. Alice Jensen <br />and Mrs. B. Hafslund. Polling place for precinct #2 must be changed from Red Oak School <br />due to the remodeling. The Clerk requested that she be allowed to put new clerks on <br />for counting votes with one of the election judges in each precinct to help. The <br />following were suggested as judges to be in charge: Mrs. Iva Petron, Precinct #1; Mrs. <br />Alice Frits, Precinct #2; Mrs. Ada Sopkowiak, Precinct #3. Suggestion made that the <br />judges in charge be paid $1.25 per hour. <br />Deputy Clerk to inform Arden Hills that the Council will not meet on November 4th as <br />they will be using the Village Hall for the election. <br />Curfew Ordinance tabled until future meeting. <br />Motion by Irvine, seconded by Rusted to give temporary arnrovai for Sam Dalberg's plat <br />South of Hillview Road, if said plat is presented and approved within 60 days. Developer <br />must provide 60' road. 5 ayes. <br />Petition for street light on Oakwood and Highway 8. Motion by Rusted, seconded by <br />Achterkirch to approve street light. 5 ayes. <br />Letter from Board of County Commissioners regarding pump at Spring Lake read and <br />placed on file. <br />Letter from Superintendent Reeder regarding narking lot at new junior high school <br />and the condition of Edgewood Drive read and referred to Engineer. <br />
