A special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mounds View was <br />called to order by Mayor Gibson at 7:30 P.M. on October 29, 1958, at the Village <br />Hall, 14 'alert Highway 96. <br />The following members were present: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk <br />Trustees: <br />and the following were also present: <br />James W. Gibson <br />Martha Irvine <br />John L_ Sullivan <br />Reuben G. Achterkirch <br />Ingram C. Rustad <br />Deputy Clerk: Mary Jean Milbrandt <br />Legal Counsel: Richard Meyers <br />October 29, 195R <br />31 <br />Mr. McCubrev and Mr. McFadden from the State Highway Department; presented plsn <br />Highway 8. Mr. Dahlgren, planning consultant, presented 6' map showing the proposed <br />shopping center in the 80 acres between 8 and 10 and the effect that the highway will <br />have on this property. After much discussion the Council recessed for five minutes <br />At 'the end of the recess the Mayor announced that the Council could not `approve the <br />plans at the present time with the deletion of the service drive along Highway 8. The <br />Council will arrange a future meeting with the Highway Department. <br />Trustee Sullivan recommended that Mrs. Glen Dawson, Mrs. Fred Madsen, Betty Wall <br />and Mr. Earl Barry be appointed to the Recreation Committee. <br />by Achterkirch, seconded by Rustad to change the date when the interest on <br />the assessment for Edgewood Drive would begin from January 1, 1959 to September 16, 1958. <br />5 ayes. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Irvine to adjourn at 10.0" P.M. <br />Respectfully _,ubm? tted, <br />Martha Irvine <br />Clerk <br />
