46 <br />The Mayor read a letter of resignation from Charles E. Jackson, Sr. as <br />Civil Defense Director. Motion by Gibson, seconded by Sullivan to appoint <br />Ingram C. Rusted as Civil Defense Director. 5 ayes. <br />Mayor Gibson recommended that William VanElsberg be appointed Weed Inspector. <br />The following committees were appointed by the Mayor: <br />Finance Committee: All the Council. <br />License Committee: Smith, Chairman; Gibson, Vice Chairman. <br />Public Safety Committee: Gibson, Chairman; Achterkirch, Vice Chairman. <br />Public Works Committee, Christensen, Chairman; Gibson, Vice-Chairman. <br />Public Welfare Committee: Sullivan, Chairman; Mrs. Alice Fitts, <br />Vice- Chairman. <br />Appointment of the Planning Committee tabled until the January 20th <br />meeting. The present committee to serve as is until that time. <br />Motion, by Sullivan, seconded by Gibson to appoint Jack Bell, Reuben <br />Achterkirch and James Gibson to the Police Commission subject to the determination <br />of the legality of Ordinance /150. 5 ayes. <br />Mr. Manson, 8145 Groveland Rd. to be requested to appear at the January 20th <br />meeting.regardirg the condition of his property. <br />Motion by Gibson, seconded by Christensen to pay $10.00 each time for use of the <br />churches for election precinct polling places. 5 ayes. <br />28th,, <br />Council requested to hold a joint meeting with the Planning Committee an January <br />The Council recommended that the Engineer attend the January 27th meeting of tha <br />Planning Committee. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Smith to approve dance licenses for <br />John T. Anderson, Anthony Donatelle and Harry Ware. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Achterkirch to approve off sale licenses for <br />Robert H. Waste, John T. Anderson, Anthony Donatelle, Alexander Krocker, Margaret <br />Berthelsen, William MacLaren and Harry Ware, and on sale licen'•'s for Harry Ware, <br />William MacLaren, Margaret Berthelsen, Anthony Donatelle and John T. Anderson. <br />5 ayes. <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Sullivan to approve Gasoline Filling Station <br />Licenses for Charles Roundsley and Wayne Hughes. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Achterkirch to approve IIeating Contracting <br />License for Donald McBeath. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Gibson, seconded by Achterkirch to npprove building permit for <br />Mrs. Robert Bornatun. 5 ayes. <br />Motion by Achterkirch, seconded by Christensen to adjou uL l:02 A.
