PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />May 9, 1960 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Allan B. Smith <br />Mel±'ord C& Christensen <br />Donald Hodges <br />Perry Malvin <br />Richard Meyers <br />C►V, Comstock <br />Lester Knutson <br />Mr: Mann <br />0,4 3033 <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of April 11, 1960 were read& <br />Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as reads <br />5 ayes, motion Carried. <br />The minutes of the special meeting of March 28# 1960, were read. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as <br />read. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />The minutes of the special meeting of the village council on <br />April 14, 1960, were read. Motion by Christensen, seconded by Hodges <br />to approve the minutes as read. 5 ayes, mntinn rarriAdt <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Malvin to accept the following ids <br />as low bids on Project No. 1960 -1: Thein Well Company as low bid on <br />well: Chicago Bridge and Iron Company as low bid on tank construction; <br />and Peter Lametti Sons, Inc., as low bid on construction of mains. <br />A report was given to the council by Trustee Christensen concern. <br />ing the municipal sewer committee meeting held at the Brooklyn Park <br />fire station on May 4, 1960. It was stated at thts meeting that <br />engineering problems were being investigated and that other than that <br />not too much progress was being made at this date. <br />The subject of the purchase of a tractor to be used by the village <br />in connection with the water program and the recreation committee in <br />connection with the mowing of grass on the ball diamcnds was brought <br />to the attention of the council and that the engineer was presently <br />studying the needs and the type of tractor required and that <br />specifications would be presented to the council within a short time. <br />Village engineer stated that the question of the type of water <br />hydrants to be used and installed by the contractor when the mains <br />are installed would have to be settled by the council. The subject <br />of water hydrants was tabled until further investigation and study <br />by the council, <br />
