The regular meeting of the Mounds View village council and executive staff wart called to order by !acting Mayor Christensen at 8:06 P. Ml on Monday, June 13, 1960 at the Rod Oak School, Sherewood Road and Red Oak Drive. Members presents Clerk Earl E. Smith Trustees: Melford Christensen Donald Hodges Perry Malvin Attorney: Engineer: Member absent: Mayor Richard G. Meyers Lester Knutson Allan B. Crane Acting Mayor Melford Christensen opened the meeting by announcing the low bidder on the water works improvement 1960 -2 as Sandstrom and Hefner, Inc. Motion by Hodges, seconded by Mal- vin, to award the contract for water works improvement 1960 -2 (laterals in the Pinewood area and Twelve Oaks area) to Sandstrom and Hefner, Inc. 4 ayes, motion carried. Acting Mayor Christensen than mentioned that the assessment roll for the waterworks Improvement program was to be prepared in the immediate future which entailed much detailed work and the council had decided that the firm of Comstock and Davis would be the logical firm to complete this task.. Motion then made by Malvin, seconded by Smith to authorize Comstock and Davis Village Engineers to prepare the assessment roll for -rater Project 1960 -1 and 1960 -2. Cost of said preparation to be 1 per -cent of the construction cost. 4 Ayes, motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Malvin to authorize Comstock and Davis to separately contract with inspectors required for the daily inspections of the waterworks construction projects as dis- cussed previously at an adgenda meeting with the council and Vil- lage Engineers. 4 ayes, motion carried. The question of the placement of water lines from the mains and laterals to each individta4 home in the village was raised by some of the citizens present at the meeting and as previously discussed at the adgenda meeting, the Attorney for the village was instructed to prepare an Ordinance covering the specifications for construction of water linos from the mains and latterals to each home.
