The 'Toll Inspector, Mr. Skiba presented a question to the <br />council concerning the construction of now houses on proporty <br />whore the mains and laterals aro to bo placed. He stated that <br />the council had amended the well ordinance to provide for greater <br />depth of wolls but that tho buildors constructing housos where <br />wator will bo available, fool that whero they had to provide deep <br />walls it would be a disadvantage to them when water would be avail- <br />able to those housos in a short time. Mr. Skiba was informed <br />that said buildors or i. -rsons desiring to build homes on streets <br />to which water would be available shortly, could waive tho deep <br />well requirements and construct a shallow asa well on their pro- <br />perty providing they sign a wator hook -up agreement with the vil- <br />lago which includos a provision that said builder or ownor will <br />hook up with the village water system as soon as it becomes avail- <br />able on that stroot and to said house. The water hookup agree- <br />ment will become part of the records on file in the county court- <br />house concerning that home. <br />Clerk Smith road a letter from the Northern States Power <br />Company concerning installation of gas at 5055 5057 and 50 5099 <br />Sunnyside Road. Council instruct Clerk to h ve Deputy to call <br />Northern States Power to inform thaem not to install gas at the <br />aforementioned adressos. <br />Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to adjourn at 10:07 <br />P. M. 4 ayes, motion carried. <br />On advice of the Attorney the meeting was again called to <br />order by the council at 10:17 p. m. to consider the matter of <br />instructing tho V_llagc Enginoor to have the well driller proceed <br />with the construction of the woll. The Attorney was instructod <br />to draw up a form for the contractor to sign regarding the well <br />construction to reloase the village from any damages which might <br />be incurred by the contractor as a r,sult of this action. 4 ayes, <br />motion carried. <br />lotion by Smith, seconded by Christensen to adjourn at 10 :20 <br />P.
