Mr. xm ^nn representing Comstock and Davis, Village Engineers, presentee <br />a proposal from Lametti and Sons for the resurfacing of the roads after <br />construction of the Main water lines are completed. It was Mr. Lametti's <br />proposal to have the county do the work on the roads, the village pay the <br />coat to the county and Lamatti and Sons be billed for said cost by the Village. <br />The council requested that this be held over until the meeting with the Engineer <br />Wedenaday evening, August 10, 1960 for further discussion and decision, on <br />this matter and the Water Ordinance. <br />Clerk Smith presented the following licenses to the council <br />for approval (see list attached. Notion by Crane seconded by <br />Malvin that said licenses be approved. 4 ayes, motion carried. <br />The Village Attorney presented an ordinance to the council entitled "AN <br />ORDINANCE LICEEISING AND REGULATING PEDDLERS, SOLICITORS, AND TRANSIENT MER- <br />CHANTS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF" for approval dhich was <br />read at the meeting of August 8, and amount of license fees decided at that time. <br />Motion by Christensen seconded by Malvin to approve said Ordinance. 4 ayes, <br />motion carried. <br />The village attorney presented a Resolution to the council as follows: <br />RESOLUTION P MITT:NG BALANCE OF $500.00 CONTRIBUTION TO THE NORTH SUBURBAN <br />HOSPITAL COt•TtiTTE9 TO BE TURNED OVER TO THE PERMANENT HOSPITAL BOARD Said <br />resolution moved by Crane secondad by Malvin for approval. 4 ayes, motion <br />carried. <br />The Village Attorney also presented a resolution to the council for <br />action, said resolution as follows: "RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FORM OF CERTIFI— <br />CATE OF COMET/0' AND AFFIDAVIT OF OCCUPANCY PURSUANT PO ORDINANCE NUMBER.15a <br />Motion by 'ie?vin seconded by Smith for approval of said Ordimseeej ayes, <br />m <br />motion ca_ r <br />The subject of the temporary building requested by Mr. Donneteili at the <br />last meeting was again brought to the attention of the council. Decision of <br />the council that the building inspector be instructed not to issue a building <br />permit to Mr. Donnett111 for the purpose of building a temporary structure. <br />Clerk Smith presented the foklowing names to the council who have indi— <br />cated that they would serve as judges in the Primary Election. Alice Frits, <br />Phyllis Blanchard and Lila Hauberg at the Red Oak School; Mrs. Willa, Peg <br />Leondbardt and Grace Aleckson at the Messiah Lutheran Church; and Ada Sopkowiak <br />Hathleen McDonough and LaVonne Rentz at the Pinewood School. Mrs. E Frits, <br />Mrs. Willa and Mrs. Sopkowiak to be the Judges in charge of their respective <br />precincts. Motion by Crane seconded by Malvin that the Election Judges recom— <br />mended be appointed to serve at the Primar)Election. 4 ayes, motion carried. <br />Cl- 'c presented the following bills to be paid from the <br />:''.in (sec list attached) for approval.
