PROCEEDINGS OP TIM VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notiao thereof a special meeting of the village <br />council was called to order at 8:00 P. M., August 29, 1960, at the Red Oak <br />School, Shorewood Road and Red Oak Drive. <br />Members present: <br />Mayor Allan 8. Crane <br />Clerk Earl E. Smith <br />Trustee Melford C. Christensen <br />Donald C. Hodges <br />Perry Malvin <br />Attorney Richard a Meyers <br />Engineer C. V. Comstock <br />The meeting opened with an explanation by Mayor Crane concerning the <br />water petitions which were received in the village office on August 26, <br />1960 to "41.61 the construction of Water Project 1960 -3 in the Hillview <br />and Snollwood` areas. <br />Motion was then made by Christensen, seconded by Malvin to order the <br />construction of Waterworks Improvement No. 1960.3 and direct the Engineer to <br />prepare plans and detailed specifications for such project. 5 ayes, motion <br />carried. <br />Mr. Comstock, village Engineer, then explained where and on which streets <br />the laterals for Waterworks Improvement No. 1960 -3 would be placed as shorn <br />on a map prepared by the Engineer with the approval of the council as a <br />result of the petitions received. <br />Mayor Crane then announced that after specifications for Waterworks <br />Improvement No. 1960 -3 are prepared, bids would then be called for c.i <br />opened at the meeting on September 26, 1960 as agreed on by the council. <br />The budget for the Lakeside Park Commission was discussed and held .over <br />for the budget meeting by the council to be held the first week in September. <br />In other ?+usiness from tae floor the subject concerning the licensing <br />of peddlers, solicitors and transient merchants was discussed and Smith <br />stated that many objections had been received in the village office concern- <br />ing the fee charged for such licenses. The council decided to investigate <br />this with the possibility of amending the ordinance concerned. <br />Upon receiving a negative response from other business from the <br />floor Mayor Crane moved and Malvin seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 <br />P.
