November 28th tiinutcs <br />G,)0 44 <br />Page 2 <br />Mayor Crane called for Mr. 7icdric_ison, re: resontativc of the <br />Northern States 1'o'-Jer Company, to explain the street li.ht conditions <br />and installations which were recommended and are needed throughout <br />the Village. The question of which lights arc considered County <br />and which Village was posed and Er. 7iedrichson stated that he would <br />call the Village Office or I°iayor Crane on Tuesday, November 29th, <br />and explain which of the two lights removed by the construction work <br />on Highway 10 located on :i hway 10 and Groveland and highway 10 and <br />County goad 112 belonged to the Village and which to the County. <br />Er. Dicdrichson stated that the installation of said li. -hts would <br />have to come by request to their office by a resolution by the <br />Village or the County, whichever has jurisdiction. Layer Crane <br />stated that he felt the Village needs other lights all along Highway <br />10 and 1r. 7iedrichson stated teat in order to make the survey of <br />village street lihts, the Council would also have to request this <br />by a resolution to the Northern States ower Company. <br />The subject of the installation of power at the crater tank area <br />was also brow rht up by the Council and Mr. T)iedric'ison stated that <br />as soon as the village en,inecre had determined the horsepower needed <br />at the well and tank site, the necessary contract could be drawn up <br />and t':c installation provided at that time. hr. Knutson, village <br />en;inter, stated th -t he would provide the information necessary to <br />prepare this contract and Mr. 7iedrichson said he would have this <br />contract ready for the Council at its next meeting. <br />I:ayor Crane called upon i..r. George Gustafson and Er. Larson to <br />present the circumstances surrounding the sale of Lr. Larson's land <br />on ::i ;hway 10 which is currently under purchase by Er. rsclberg for <br />the erection of a ;asoline stetion on that land. Er. Gustafson and <br />lir. Larson thereupon presented a petition to the Council for the re- <br />zoning of Lot Pc. 53, ,auditor's Sub division No. 29, aamsey County, <br />Min.cesota from the 1>rescnt residential classification to the original <br />commercial status from which it was rezoned under the Rezoning <br />0rdinancs of 1950. Said petition contained the names of ten <br />petitioners whose property is adjacent to ix. Larson's land within <br />250 foot, and who agree to said rezoning. I:r. Stole, Chairman of <br />the i fanning Commission, stated that in vie;: of the fact that the <br />petitioners were in _free.icnt with said rezoning, he saw no need for <br />a public h_arin: -and recommended t10 Council concur with the Planning <br />Commission and proceed with the pessa c of said rezonin;.
