CJ01;36 <br />Proceedings of the Village Council, Dec. 12th (Cont'd) pg. 2 <br />The hearing for a special use permit requested by Mr. Melberg in <br />..rder to build a filling station at the southwest corner of Hwy. 10 <br />and Long Lake Road was then opened. Mr. Stole reported that the I1ann_'.n' <br />Commission has considered this request and feels that the property is <br />ideally situated for a filling station. M.r. Bill Frits asked what <br />orcentage of village property is zoned industrial as opposed to <br />property for special use permit. He feels that the Council is abort <br />:.nt the purpose of zoning this land industrial by issuing a spacial <br />:se permit. He feels that we would be limiting industrial doveiopmer"- <br />in the area along Long Lake Road by removing one of the accesses to <br />she property. Trustee Christensen stated that there is at present only <br />one owner of all of the industrial land there except for the corner <br />owned by Mr. Melberg and that owner could build his own road to suit <br />his needs. Notion by Christensen to accept Mr. Melberg's application <br />for special use permit and that he be given permission to erect and <br />operate a gasoline filling station on the parcel in question. Motion <br />seconded by Hodges. 5 ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />The hearing notice on condemnation of sub standard house at 7856 <br />Long Lake Road was read by t'io Attorney. The owners were present and <br />had received the notice. Mr. Meyers stated that the owners have 30 <br />days to carry out the Council's recommendations on this property. The <br />_uilding Inspector, Electrical Inspector and Plumbing Inspector stated <br />;;hat the place should be cleaned up, it needs a new chimney and a fire <br />.iaor in the rear, the electrical system is definitely a hazard and that <br />.J part of the system is acceptable, and that the drain from the kitchen <br />.ink way be too close to the well. Motion by Mayor Crane, seconded <br />Hodges to tako final action on this at the January 9th meeting. <br />eyes for approval, motion carried. The suggestion was made by <br />stee Christensen that the inspectors get together with the owners <br />z ,ive them an idea of what is expected of them to get the building <br />__z shape. <br />The September 29, 1960 minutes were road by Clerk Smith. Motion <br />Idges, seconded by Malvin to accept the minutes as read. 5 ayes <br />approval, motion carried. <br />Clerk Smith read the minutes of the November 28, 1960 meeting. <br />1.ayor Crane asked that the word "waive" in the last line of the third <br />:aragraph on page 2 be changed to "amend Clerk Smith stated that <br />_a the third paragraph from the bottom of page 5, the lot number <br />::ould be "65" instead of "55 Motion by Christensen, seconded by <br />:.dgos to accept the minutes as corrected. 5 ayes for approval, <br />.otion carried. <br />The minutes of the December 8, 1960 meeting were road by Clerk <br />ith. Those were tho minutes of the Annual Village Election. Motion <br />Malvin, seconded by Hodges to approve them as read. Mayor Crane <br />:ced if the vote on Plan A by precincts could be obtained.
