Crane, seconded by Hodges to hire the Minnesota survey administrative procedures in the village CranP, eye; Malvin and Smith, No. Motion carried. Motion was then made by Hodges, seconded by Crane that the village spend not more than $250.00 for this survey. Smith, Christensen, Crane, Hodges aye; Malvin, no. Motion carried. Hodges moved, Christensen seconded to approve payment of Bills for which the claims have been signed. Christensen, Smith, Crane, Hodges, aye; Malvin, no. Motion carried. Discussion followed on the amount of the check made out to Frank Slipka and also what to do with a bill for groceries submitted by the Civil Defense Unit. Motion by Malvin, seconded by Hodges to have the Civil Defense pay their own grocery bills. Christensen, and Smith, abstain; Crane, Hodges and Malvin, aye; Motion carried. Clerk Smith turned over information to the Attorney with which to prepare a resolution to place the water assessment back on the tax rolls on the property of Dail T. Pearson at 7485 Hnollwood. XXXXIDEME Smith stated that he check in payment for this assessment had returned from the bank showing payment had been stopped. Smith also stated that he had called Mr. and Mrs. Pearson and they wished to place the assessment back on the tax rolls. Motion by Crane seconded by Smith to have the Attorney prepare a resolution for this purpose. 5 ayes, motion carried. Clerk Smith reported that he was informed that the Babinskixs intend to sell their duplexes under the impression that said duplexes can be made into fourplexes. The council stated that they would watch for advertising on this matter and take formal action then is such is done. Clerk Smith asked permission to transfer certain bills paid from the General Fund into the Water Fund which should have been paid out of that fund, The council concurred and granted permission. Mayor Crane announced that the Council will hold a meeting at the village office on Tuesday, January 3, 1961 at 7:00 p. m. to conduct certain required business. He also stated that the regular meeting of the Council will be held at the Red Oak School on Monday, January 9th, at XX 8 :00 p. m. The police report was read and Hodges moved, Crane seconded that the Police report bs accepted as presented. 5 XX ayes, motion carried.
