January 9, 1961 by Iiayor Allan B. Crane at the Red Oak School. I:embers Present: llayor: Allan 3. Crane Trustees: Donald C. Hodges Perry I :a.lvin Clerk: Lloyd J: 'Blanchard Attorney: Richard Meyers Iiembers Absent: Trustee Christensen entered the meeting at 1:4; P.:.. The first order of business was reading of the minutes. Clerk Blanchard read the minutes of the December 12, 1960 meeting. Notion was made by Hodges seconded by lialvin to accept theminutes as read. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. The minutes of the meeting of December 19, 1960 were read by Clerk Blanchard. Lotion by Iialvin, seconded by Hodges to approve the minutes as read. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. Clerk Blanchard read the minutes of the January 3, 1961 meeting. The year in the first paragraph was changed from 1960 to 1961. Attorney lieyers suggested that the salaries of the llayor and the Trustees should be spelled out in the minutes. Trustee Hodges moved, Iialvin seconded to accept the minutes as corrected. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. The next item co' "isiness was appointments and naming of comniltees for the year 1961. Notion b« Iiayor Crane, seconded by Hodges to accept the Finance Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. Notion by liayor Crane, seconded by Iialvin to accept the License Committee renbers (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, notion carried. Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by iialvin to accept the Police Commision members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for Approval, motion carried. Motion by Mayor Crane, seconded by Blanchard to accept the Fire Sub Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. Iiayor Crane :coved, seconded ')y Hodges to accept the Building and Zoning Sub-Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by I_alvin to accept the Civil Defense Sub Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. Notion was made by mayor Crane and seconded b Blanchard to accept the Public Works Comnitteeiienbers (see list attached). Trustee Hodges was of the opinion that hr. "Alba should also be a member of this Committee; however, it was decided that a Village employee mould t'.ien have a vote on Village affairs and this should not be. 4 Ayes for approval, notion carried. Iiayor Crane moved and Halvin seconded a motion to accep'L the Parks and Playgrounds Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried.
