January 9, 1961 by Iiayor Allan B. <br />Crane at the Red Oak School. <br />I:embers Present: <br />llayor: Allan 3. Crane <br />Trustees: Donald C. Hodges <br />Perry I :a.lvin <br />Clerk: Lloyd J: 'Blanchard <br />Attorney: Richard Meyers <br />Iiembers Absent: <br />Trustee Christensen entered the meeting at 1:4; P.:.. <br />The first order of business was reading of the minutes. <br />Clerk Blanchard read the minutes of the December 12, 1960 meeting. <br />Notion was made by Hodges seconded by lialvin to accept theminutes <br />as read. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 19, 1960 were read by <br />Clerk Blanchard. Lotion by Iialvin, seconded by Hodges to approve <br />the minutes as read. 4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Clerk Blanchard read the minutes of the January 3, 1961 <br />meeting. The year in the first paragraph was changed from 1960 to <br />1961. Attorney lieyers suggested that the salaries of the llayor and <br />the Trustees should be spelled out in the minutes. Trustee Hodges <br />moved, Iialvin seconded to accept the minutes as corrected. 4 Ayes <br />for approval, motion carried. <br />The next item co' "isiness was appointments and naming of <br />comniltees for the year 1961. Notion b« Iiayor Crane, seconded by <br />Hodges to accept the Finance Committee members (see list attached). <br />4 Ayes for approval, motion carried. <br />Notion by liayor Crane, seconded by Iialvin to accept the License <br />Committee renbers (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, notion <br />carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by iialvin to accept the Police <br />Commision members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for Approval, motion <br />carried. <br />Motion by Mayor Crane, seconded by Blanchard to accept the Fire <br />Sub Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for approval, <br />motion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane :coved, seconded ')y Hodges to accept the Building <br />and Zoning Sub-Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for <br />approval, motion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved, seconded by I_alvin to accept the Civil <br />Defense Sub Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes for <br />approval, motion carried. <br />Notion was made by mayor Crane and seconded b Blanchard to <br />accept the Public Works Comnitteeiienbers (see list attached). <br />Trustee Hodges was of the opinion that hr. "Alba should also be a <br />member of this Committee; however, it was decided that a Village <br />employee mould t'.ien have a vote on Village affairs and this should <br />not be. 4 Ayes for approval, notion carried. <br />Iiayor Crane moved and Halvin seconded a motion to accep'L the <br />Parks and Playgrounds Committee members (see list attached). 4 Ayes <br />for approval, motion carried. <br />
