The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order at 8 :00 P.M., February 13th, 1961 by Mayor Allan <br />B. Christensen <br />Donald Hodges <br />Perry Malvin <br />Richard Meyers <br />Les Knutson <br />000019 <br />Also in attendance were the Boy Scouts from Troop #167, who <br />served as Village Officers on Scout Civic Day, January 11, 1961. Mayor <br />Crane asked the Clerk to explain the presence of the Boy Scouts to the <br />people in attendance. Clerk Blanchard reported that the boys had been <br />elected, and had served as Village officials for a day. <br />Trustee Christensen was than called on to explain the reasons for <br />the proposed street plan. It was fully explained that the Planner and <br />Engineer had worked in conjunction to set this plan up and that it was <br />only a preliminary map. He further stated that the Council would not <br />take action on the proposal, this evening, but would hold at least one <br />and possibly two more hearings, before adopting the plan. <br />Village Attorney Meyers was than aced to explain the legal aspects <br />of the street plan. <br />The Mayor stated that any residents present could voice their <br />opinions about the Proposed Street Plan. <br />Opinions abn' t the Proposed Street Plans were as follows: <br />Mr. William A. Sutherton of 7611 Pleasant View Drive, "My home is <br />on the proposed road <br />Mr. E. Bolt, 7581 Pleasant View Drive, "My garage is on the pro- <br />posed road, also there is not enough room on my lot for two homes even <br />if the road did go through <br />Mr. C. Young, 1722 County Rd. I, "The road would be 20 feet from <br />my door and would cut up the yard too much <br />Mr. R. Anderson, 1747 Bronson Dr., "Does not want the road between <br />County Rd. I and Bronson ?)r. because he has no wish to sub divide at this <br />time': <br />Mr. R. Sandeen, 1790 Woodale Drive, "Does not want the low land <br />cut up as this is the only bird and game sanaary in the Village <br />Mrs. E. Dropps owns a lot adjacent to lir. Sandeen's and "wants to <br />know if the Village will buy the right -of -way, and also how wide the <br />road might be, as she plans to build this Spring <br />At this point, Attorney Meyers explained again why the Village was <br />making the proposed plan. <br />Mrs. L. Bonine, 8380 Spring Lk. Pk. Rd., requested that the <br />proposed road run along the No. -So. County Line between Hwy. 10 and Co. <br />Rd. J. <br />
