000046 PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Tho regular mooting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order at 8100 P.M., April e!'th, 1961 at the Red Oak School Sherwood Road and Rod Oak Drive, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Present were: Mayor: Allan B. Crane Clerk: Lloyd J. Blanchard Trustees: Donald Hodges Perry Malvin Melford C. Christensen Engineer: Les Knutson Attorney: Richard Meyers Mayor called for further bids on Edgewood Drive improvement. There being no further bids they were declared closed. The Engineer turned the bids over to the Clerk and announced that there was only one bids After some di.ecuL.4slon the following action was taken. Motion by Christensen to return bid received and to set May 8t1t.:4 at 80O P.M. as a new closing date for accepting bids on the Edgewood Drive improvement and that the request for bids be re- advertieed. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. The second hearing on the Proposed Street Plan was than placed before the Council, The Engineer presented a map showing the Proposed Streets and the objector's thereto. He gave an explanation of the plan to those present. There were no new objector's or objections. After 45 minutes discussion the following action was taken. The Mayor announced that any further objector's to the plan should write to the Village office and state their objections end for suggestions. The final date of Proposed Street Objector's lettere being received at the Village office will be May 15th, 1961 The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion by Hodges Seconded by Malvin to accept minutes as read. 5 Ayee. A letter from Mr. A. Wahlberg regarding the unsightly and unhealthy sufffface water conditions, by and near the Babinski Duplexes was read. The Public Works Superintendent recommended that a tide drain be put in and stated that he had never given his approval of the drain system. After some discussion the following action was taken: Mr. Malvin and Mr. Christensen will investigate this matter further and check with the State Board of Health to see if they can assist us. The Attorney was also instructed to investigate as to what leg action may be taken to stop these buildingsfrom being sold. until this matter is corrected. The surface water problem was referred to the Engineer for investigation.
