PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />000138 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Crane at 8:05 P.M., September 25th, 1961 at the Red <br />Oak School, Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr, Minneapolis, Minn. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: Allan Crane <br />Clerk: Lloyd J. Blanchard <br />Trustees: Perry Malvin <br />Donald Hodges <br />Melford Christensen <br />Engineer: Gary Erickson <br />Attorney: Meyers <br />Ad.Dep.Clk: Paul Boog <br />Pub. Works: Walter Skiba <br />The Mayor called for further bids for the Woodcrest Drainage Projec'., <br />There being none, he declared the bids closed and directed the clerk to <br />open bids received. <br />The clerk opened the bids and Mr. Erickson read them as follows: <br />NAME SECURITY LUMP SUM FINISHING TIME <br />1. Arthur cert. <br />Minneapolis, Minn. check <br />Mr. Christensen stated that as the county was <br />the Lambert Park Y presently at work on <br />project, time could be very important in the acceptance <br />or rejection of bids on this project. <br />Motion by Christensen to accept low bid of Elk River Concrete Co. <br />in the amount of $2,139..30 for the furnishing of conduit on the Woodcrest <br />Drainage Project. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Malvin to accept minutes of September llth, 1961 as <br />presented. Seconded by Hodges. 3 Ayes. <br />Crane and Christensen abstained as they were not present at this <br />meeting. <br />The Police Commission report of their September 14th, 1961 <br />meeting was read and place on file.' <br />Motion by Crane to have Attorney draw up a firearms ord °^.z.n ^ci. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Crane to install stop sign at intersection of County <br />Rd. I and Spring Lake Park Road. Seconded by Christensen. 5 Ayes. <br />Items #3 #4 and #5 of Police report referred to Mel Christensen <br />for recommendation. <br />Motion by Crane that an add as follows "Mounds View Police <br />Commission will accept application for part time night or day patrolman. <br />
