-4 <br />Sept. 26th, 1561, Council Meeting <br />The budget for 1962 was presented and totaled $80,234.50. This <br />represents a'Mill rate increase of from 3 to 5. mills. The County will <br />collect for the Village approximately $55,000.00. <br />Milt Stole, Chairman of the Planning Commission read the planning <br />commission minutes and the following action was taken: <br />#1. A registered letter to Mr. Groberg regarding rezoning <br />of Pinewood property, stating he must comply with the Ordinance <br />before any Council action can be taken. Letter will include <br />also a notice that the building inspector must okay the <br />building before the Council will consider this matter. <br />#2. The Clerk was also instructed to send a letter to Mr. Owens <br />advising him of our action and warn him of a possible violation <br />of Ordinance if he occupies building before it is rezoned. <br />Both letters to be sent registered mail. <br />A letter regarding proposed park area at Highways #8 and #10 <br />will be sent to Mr. Richard Jones, State Representative. <br />A citizen brought up the lack of Civil Defense education and <br />information to the Village. <br />This was discussed at some length by Mr. Ballenger Civil Defense <br />Director and others present. <br />Motion by Malvin to adjourn.
